As we close out the quarter, one word comes to mind: resilience. This spring brought one of the most active hail seasons in recent memory, and our Dentsmart teams rose to the challenge with grit and precision. From the Midwest to the Southeast, crews mobilized to respond to weather events, executing fast, high-quality repairs and supporting overwhelmed body shops and insurance partners. The influx of volume tested our systems, but it also revealed the strength of our network and the dedication of our people.
Amid the storm-driven surge, we also made major strides in internal operations. Our updated lead intake platform helped direct high volumes more efficiently, and we saw positive feedback on the new support modules rolled out in the franchise portal. Perhaps most importantly, our franchise partners leaned on each other—sharing tips, resources, and encouragement across the Dentsmart family. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together this quarter and are carrying that momentum into the summer season.
This quarter, we’re proud to spotlight our Dentsmart Kentucky team, led by Shawn Johnston. Serving dealerships, body shops, and insurance partners across Central and Eastern Kentucky, Shawn and his crew continue to set a high standard in service excellence. Known for their quick turnaround times and meticulous repairs, the Kentucky team has built long-standing relationships with local partners who trust Dentsmart for every ding and dent that rolls into their shops.
The Kentucky operation recently expanded its technician training program, bringing two new team members up to speed with Dentsmart’s signature standards of quality. Shawn credits their success to consistency, community involvement, and always treating customers like family. Whether it’s a hail event or just a door ding from a tight parking spot, Dentsmart Kentucky brings professionalism and integrity to every repair.
This quarter’s featured training video is Mobile PDR Setup Essentials, now available in the franchise portal. In this 8-minute instructional, veteran tech Mike L. walks through the optimal setup process for mobile PDR operations—including efficient tool storage, lighting angles, and environmental positioning tips. This video is a must-watch for newer techs and a solid refresher for seasoned pros looking to shave a few minutes off their daily setup.
Franchisees are encouraged to share this with their teams during morning huddles or include it as part of onboarding for new technicians. As always, feedback is welcome—drop your comments or suggestions on the video thread in the portal to help us keep improving content for everyone.
